Mike’s Memorial

Sunday, July 19th, 2009

A few months ago my friend Mike passed away.  This last weekend we had his memorial and I made his mom a glass.  We all lost a great friend and he will be missed immensely.

Sneak Peak

Here is what the header of my glass website will look like(click to see full size).  I might change the text, and add some squares around the headings to make them more button like.  My friend Chris put this together and happens to own the Chameleon bellow.  Fun to watch it eat!

Clothing by the pound

Thursday, December 4th, 2008

Made a quick trip to the goodwill MEGA outlet off of Mcloughlin.  You can buy almost anything by the pound there.  By anything I mean shirts, shorts, underwear, a 3 leged incredible hulk, massive pictures of Pike Street Market from the 80′s, and an endless supply of happy meal toys.

I happened to be looking for a sewing machine pedal but there was none to be found.  I did find a nice 1/2″slab of glass that I can etch for only $5.  It will make a great living room table, and would have cost a fortune new.

Word to the wise.  Stay away from the corner with all the hanging carpets(back, right of photo).  It was the worst smell I have smelled in at least a year. My lady friend was none too impressed with my selection of holiday shopping locations. Hehe

And check out all the freaky vans in the parking lot!

This one looks bad from this side and then….you walk around the other side and there’s no door!

The beginning.

I wonder where this will go……

Today has been good and not so good.  Making a flag to fly high above the Traingle for the Pendleton Round Up.  Round Up will be excellent.

Found out a friend has testicular cancer and will be loosing a ball tomorrow.  I guess they will be giving him a fake one to keep the other one company.  He’s doing good, but the operation will cost him an arm and a leg(and a ball).  There is a benefit concert in the works, and I’ll be donating some mugs etched with nuts. Get yourself tested.  Right now.  In the bathroom.
