I got to break in my new wall tent this year with an 8 day trip to owyhee unit for deer hinting. This is an area east of Burns Oregon effectively in the middle of nowhere. While the area didn’t seem to be heavy with deer, we were able to find a couple of bucks. And quite a few sheds from big bucks that eluded us. The views out there were worth it alone, and I’m glad we made the trek.

Spotted a forky out there an watched it bed down
there are deer all over the hill above the rock, and a buck on the left side. I'm talking about the lower right hand side hill that is darker in color.
Success - Kevin got his first Mule deer. Karl was really close to walking into this buck but just barley zigged when he needed to zag.

Last day
The fog kept made spotting difficult on the ridgeline. It was fun whispering through our secret service ear buds from twenty feet away.
And it only got worse...

The first set of rapids - Brian and I with cameras eagerly wait(and possibly hope) for our first catastrophe but these pros sailed right through.
What a way to start out 2010! I went with my friend Jeremy out on the Willamette in search of monster sturgeon. We went bellow the Sellwood bridge and got into ‘em.

OH3 Annual Red Dress Hash in Portland. It was incredible.
Shopping for a dress. I almost bought this bit it was a hundred bucks.
Sewing stretchy straps into my red dress to make it fit. You know how hard it is to find a dress that will fit a guy thats 6'7"? Well, not as hard as finding a dress for Whiskey.
No one's going to take me seriously with running shoes on.

This is Glide, Oregon. It’s a pretty dinky little town 20 miles east of Roseburg in Southern Oregon. It happens to be where Kara is from, and she gave me the grand tour.Glide is located at 43°19′9″N 123°4′1″W (43.319078, -123.066926)
These are the Colliding Rivers. There are few spots in the world where 2 rivers smash into each other. Pretty cool. The rivers that collide are the North Umpqua River and the Little River.
In '97 the water came all the way up to the line between Viewpoint and Umpqua. Woa!
This is up another river. I guess jackass's in intertubes get into trouble here.
