Hash Goods

I have created a new extension of 502 Global Acquisitions to focus on hashing (my running group). I am very excited to be diversifying 502 Global and offer great prtoducts to great people.

Currently the site has my knee high socks, and soon it will have glass etching as well as t shirts and other products.

Camouflage Sewing Machine

This is my second camouflage sewing machine, and the first to have the ACU (Army Combat Uniform) pattern. My first machine was sprayed multicam and can be seen here.

I want to eventually show these at a gallery and hopefully find new homes for some of them.

The senseless killing of a family pet

Bellow are pictures of our beloved Tom turkey that was shot by an arrow. We put him down today because he was suffering and was going to die.

We have had these turkeys around our house in West Linn for about a decade as pets. They roam free on our property and around West Linn.

I called the sheriff’s department and the “officer”(telephone operator) said they would not look into it without a witness. After expressing how much the bird meant to us, she said they would possibly send someone out Monday that investigates livestock killings. I called WLPD and it sounds like they will be sending out an officer shortly. Hopefully we can get a print off the arrow and prosecute who did this.

The same turkey was shot by an arrow about a year ago, but that time it was in it’s buttocks and the arrow came out after 2 months.

These turkeys have been written up in the Oregonian (outdoors section - bill munroe), as well as the West Linn Tidings Police Blotter. They are loved by many in the community and we fear this could be the last Tom, thus ending their ability to breed any future generations. His killing was absolutely senseless.

The story will air on KATU channel 2, Saturday @ 11PM as well as KOIN Local 6, Saturday @ 11PM. If you have any idea who might have done this, please contact me.

These are some of my latest random art projects, as well as some old pieces.

Jessica and I cut these dragonflues out of canns and then paint them. When it is all said and done, we will put them up outside by my barbeque area.

The future Hamms bear - that’s 118 cans!

This guy is out front of my house. People in portland chain up little horses to these metal rings on the street. The rings were used in the early 20th century to tie up horse. I like my little elephant better.

If you have never been to the Wooden Shoe Tulip fields you need to go! I’m not a real flower power type of guy, but the amount of color out there is amazing.

New Coatings

Here are some of my most recent projects. I call this pattern tiger shadow and it is seen here in desert and winter variations. I think I will replace the rust color stripes with a green for a very versatile pattern.

2010 Portland Urban Iditirod

This was the 9th Portland Urban Iditirod and my first. It was probably the craziest thing I have ever participated in Portland. Over 100 teams race through the streets of portland behind custom decorated shopping carts. As KATU news puts it: “There are no winners, there are no loses, there are just a bunch of belligerent people”

Our team was Big Buck Hunter Safari - Shoots even managed to track down fake guns for us! We had two carts, the one I am pushing bellow and a mobile stripper pole (it got lots of looks)
